About Imprex Vacuum Pressure Impregnation Systems

About Imprex

Midwest values, worldwide reputation. Imprex works with some of the largest companies in the world. When porous metal castings, P/M parts, and electronic components require sealing, they’re Imprexed.

Imprex has been in business since 1958. Over the decades, Imprex has grown into a facility of more than 50,000 square feet and more than 55 employees, including engineers, certified welders, quality control managers, and long-time shop employees. Company president Bob Juday, a 40-year veteran of VPI sales and service, directs all Imprex operations.

The business has two divisions: VPI systems and in-house impregnation services.

VPI Equipment and Systems

If your company wishes to do its own porosity sealing on-site, Imprex engineers VPI systems large and small to meet specific needs and budget requirements. Each impregnation system manufactured by Imprex is fully assembled and tested before shipment. The system is then disassembled into the largest-sized components practical for shipment to minimize the start-up time at your facility. After installation and utility hookup of your machine, an Imprex representative will assist with machine start-up and train your personnel in its operation and maintenance.

Imprex has conceived, built, and tested hundreds of VPI systems. Our reputation for innovation, quality, and service has helped the company grow from a regional operation to an international producer of quality impregnation equipment. Imprex installations can be found all over the world, including North America, South America, Russia, Europe, and Asia.

In-House Impregnation Services (Job Shop)

In addition to the manufacture of VPI systems, Imprex also offers onsite VPI services for manufacturers who wish to ship their parts to us for sealing. Our service shop provides the fastest, most effective process for eliminating the inherent problems of porosity in metal castings, powdered (sintered) metal parts, and electronic components.

In the Imprex casting impregnation shop, each stage of the VPI process is monitored and documented. With a variety of VPI systems at our production facilities, we provide the best impregnation methods for your needs, with custom solutions for your specific applications. We offer quick turnaround on all orders. Our facility is ISO 9001:2015 certified for high quality and reliability.
